How often do you change your oil and filter?
When at the track do you change your oil every run, every other,
after a full day of racing?

I change mine after 2 trips to the track. It gets a little pricey using Mobil1 but I like the stuff. I use cheap NAPA oil filters, since I change them with every oil change.

BTW, while we're on oil, last time I raced I only put 6qts in a 7qt pan and my ET improved. I do use a windage tray but no crank scraper.

Dan I understand that just because it says 7 qt it still only needs
enough oil to cover the pick up. May be good with 5 qts.
By the way the Napa gold series is a pretty good filter!

I change the motor oil and filter every 25 - 30 runs. I do the trans filter and fluid at the same amount of runs, and adjust the bands. The trans is a Cope Racing Trans, 727 rollerized , with billet aluminium front drum

Yeah, Tony, I hear ya. Good point.

So, are you gearing-up (no pun intended) for the season?
I got a few things to do with the car, but it's so damn difficult to think about working on it in this weather.

During the season I change mine pretty often, not on any set schedule. At least once a month. If I go out every weekend during a month I may do it twice, but that hasn't happened in a few years.

I've been changing it after every second trip to the track. Comes to every two miles I think  .

Dan
the car should go in the shop next saturday.
Too cold out there to think about it.
Took her out for a ride today. Terrorized the neighborhood
for a little while. Can't wait to see what the gearing and the shifter
do! 8-[

You had no place to turn around so you drove into a big snow-covered hill?

Tony, what gears do you have now and what ones are you going to?

Are you going to start the season off with the drag radials or slicks?

Dan, I'm going from3:91's to 4:31's.
Haven't decided yet on the slicks vs the drag radials yet.
Drag radials were not spinning last time out.
The suckers really bite since I screwed them down and lowered
the a/p.
