I stopped in at a local die cast shop this afternoon... This guy had EVERYTHING. Race cars, street cars, modifieds... All kinda of stuff. Lots and lots of late 60's Super Stock type cars.

He said he's working on a web site, but for now, if you're looking for anything give him a call or e-mail:

Empire Diecast - Karl is the guy I spoke with - KandS@EmpireDiecast.com - 631-331-5740. Or 1-866-CAR-TRUK.

I talked to him about that, he said he just signed up with Yahoo. He's got an intern who is building the site... Taking thousands of pictures of the cars, thumbnailing them all. He said he wants to put up like 500 at a time and rotate them.

I told him that I can do it cheaper, and I'm local and he should support local businesses. He said that if it didn't work out with Yahoo he'd give me a shout.

Hey Mikel,

Where is he located?

Right off of 112 in Coram. About a 1/4 mile past Pine Road. Do you know the area? If you make the turn into the Greenbrook development, there's a little strip mall on the right hand side. He's in there. There's a Mobil on the corner of 112 & Pine Road, right next to that is the Handy Pantry strip mall. Right after that one is a right turn, that's the turn I'm talking about.

No problem. Mention my name. Won't get ya anything, but it'll keep my name in his head. Then when I hit him up in a month or two to move his web site, he'll remember me. ;-)

He's got some real cool stuff there, right? I was gonna stop in there myself Saturday, I was just too busy.

Looks like they've updated the web site a bit, added some pictures.
