Well, as you all know, the site has been sold, and like mikelbeck said, it was to a good guy who lived near him. I joined this site prior to the sale so that you guys would know that I am not here to hurt the forum in any way, but I am an employee of the owning body of this site, so myself, and Amanda, will be the new administrative people here. We are a couple, and for you mopar guys, she has a modded 94 ram that will be hitting the track soon. 8) Our site, with pictures of many of our vehicles can be found at http://truckville.dodgeforum.com It is being remodeled, but my stratus and mirada will soon have full reviews.
We work for a company called autoforumuniverse, which owns and operates over 40 automotive enthusiast forums. While being an employee, I was first a member of www.dodgeforum.com. I hope to bring some more members to this board, and the current members here are more than welcome to look into our other forums. We have dodge and chrysler forums, and the dodge forum also welcomes plymouth and jeep. actually, at DF we welcome anyone. we also have a large mustang forum, as well as chevy and camaro. If you guys have any ideas to get more members, or certain things that you would rather Not see change, let me know.
I just want everyone to know that I think this is a very cool site, and i hope to further the growth of the board. any ideas, feel free to shoot me questions!

Ah ha! I knew you were posting too much to be a "normal" member here! ;-)
I've made your post a sticky so it'll stay on top.
Welcome!

i dont associate with GM people...
j/k... :D
but honestly, the boss brought this to my attention to see how it looked and what i thought of it, and i think its a very cool board. of course, my opinion is greater due to the fact that it is predominantly mopar... :)
and the mustang guy seems ok too... 8)
We just dont want people to think that since it has been bought out, that it is going to be turned into a quilting site...or a professional turtle racing forum...

Mikel you remaining a member or you taking off?

the owner uses myself and Amanda as intermediaries. anything that needs to be said to him can be directed to me, as i will be on regularly. running 40+ automotive forums, as well as non-automotive related sites keep him very busy, and thats where i come into the picture.. :)
that, and i really like BSing about cars...

Mikel you remaining a member or you taking off?
Ralph (the new owner) asked me to stay on as an Admin, at least for a while. Once they get everything in order, I guess I'll step aside. But as long as I'm racing, and as long as I've living in the North East, I'll still be a member here.
If we wind up moving down south like my wife wants, I'll start up SouthEastBracketRacing.com. ;-)

Hi all... I'm here... let the party begin. LOL! :)
I'm just backing Patrick up here. We have no plans to change the site. We want to make it better, bring in more members, etc... The core of NEBR.com isn't changing... one of the main reasons we wanted to buy the site was because Patrick is so into bracket racing. Now that it's ours, we just want to see it grow. I promise. :)
So... how is everyone... ? What can you tell me about you?
My name is Amanda and I am 24 years old. I LOVE Dodge and my Ram is my baby girl, to say the very least. I also have a 1987 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z, it just needs a little work. As Patrick said, we are together, we meet through DodgeForum.com. I have a 4 year old son from a previous relationship named John Thomas, and he's as into cars as we are. LOL! We reside in Michigan... I'm not sure what else to say... oooh go visit my personal site, Truckville, as you can see in my signature and sign the tourist log so I know you stopped by. :):)
Please everyone, don't worry... NEBR.com isn't changing... the site you love will always be here, and always be about Bracket Racing. :):)

Thank you Thank you!
Hehehe! I've never bracket raced... in fact, I've never had my truck on the track... but Patrick and his dad are already making plans to change that... :) I'm excited... and nervous actually...
But I'm thrilled to be apart of your community... I can't wait to see and hear all about the MoPars on the site... and for those of you without MoPars... I'll try not to hold it against you. ;)
Want to see how Dodge crazy I am? Here is a tattoo I have on my right shoulder blade:

And here is a tribal Tattoo that is modeled after a Ram head... can you see it? This is on thge small of my back:

Soon we'll have pics of The Lady In Red (my Ram) on the track... CAN'T WAIT!! We are currently trying to change plans with her though. I have a Mopar Performance M1 Intake for her, but I don't want to go that route and lose any low end... so we are trying to figure out what to do to her next.
Let's hear about you guys and your rides!! :)

Amanda have you checked with www.KRCperformance.com or www.thefastman.com about the M1. I read on a few sites the the loss of low end is hardly noticeable. I was looking at them for my Jeep Cherokee.

she has a fastman TB...i put an M1 on the mirada and it killed my bottom end...i am afraid to change from the keg manifold because that is supposed to help bottom end torque...i hear alot of "it doesnt hurt much", but i dont see the point of putting something on the car that slows it down at all...
fastbackcuda
06-07-2005, 03:16 PM
Yeah I thought it would kill all the low end too but for some reason the EFI intake is said not to. My friend is planning on putting one on his Jeep soon. We'll let him find out.
Heres alink to my car.

well, i dont like the idea of slowing it down...people say "youll gain top end" but its not an indy car,...she doesnt need top end...she needs QM times! :D
adam, have you not run your cuda? we have very similar setups...i also have late 80s casting heads with the 1.88s and 1.60s valves...for now..

The Fastman and I are good friends. I've met his family and he gave my a custom TB for my Ram... it's powdercoated red to match. I trust what he thinks very much so, but I don't want to lose anything... I want to go fast, then faster, then even faster... no loss involved. LMAO! ;)

Anyways, I'd like to welcome Patrick and Amanda.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Dan DeSande from Vernon, N.J.
I built my Barracuda from practically dirt, used to do body work for a living, now a Respiratory Therapist.
When I first got my car, the original plans were to restore it to OEM, then after going with a friend to the track (he races a 68 Fastback) I got bite by the bug and went home and made a new plans for the car. It took me 2 yrs to get it track ready and last year was my first full year of racing. Haven't gotten past the 2nd round yet, but there's still high hopes. I've had to work out a miriad of problems and with the help of people like the ones on this board, am finally "on track".
Now, let's go RACIN'.

while my car is an oddball, it started off as a full OEM resto project..and when finished, it was gorgeous..i had just turned 16 when it was done..and i started driving it..then, at a car show which also had a track, i made a pass..it ran 18.72 @ 68 mph, and having had my permit only for a few weeks..that was the fastest that i had gone. it wasnt fast, but it could smoke the right side tire like none other...my love of burnouts led to blowing the diff, and we got an 8 3/4, with a 323..then the 340ci went in, then bigger gears...then it started getting stripped out for the track...ive won a few times..as mentioned ive been in mopar muscle, mopar colelctors guide, and national dragster...although that last one was just a blurb about a class win at a big event. i raced alot prior to moving, and at least once a week i attended at time trail, and an elim event, weather permitting...whether in the RT or the mirada, or even my buddy's bottled sebring, i havent lost in the first round since the first national event of the 2003 season...i affectionately call myself the first round assasin. last event of last year, i broke the motor, and ran a 14.50 on 6 cylinders at like 55 mph...but still managed to win thanks to a foolish break out by the other guy...
the hardest part is going back and forth from a 12 second auto RWD car, to a FWD 6 cyl auto, to a fwd 4 cyl bottled manual trans car...launch timing is different on every car, but it presents in interesting challenge...i only ran the RT once in elims last year, but i finished second, losing to a 18 second chevy truck....he ran an 18.010 on a 18.01 dial, with a 502 light...i had a 505 light, and broke out...

Its plenty streetable but thats a 2.5hr drive with 3" flowmaster, 3.91 gears and an 8" converter. I dont have enough aspring for a ride like that and the fuel cell empties quick.

ohh..i didnt realize you were that far...i used to drive the mirada to the track..change the tires...then race..change them back, and drive home..it was Such a pain...now we have the motor home and the trailer. back then i was running high 13s...but i was always afraid to break something like an axle or a drive shaft...and have to leave the car there...so i see your point
